Thank you again for your patience! I just got back from dropping off another large batch of orders at the post office. A total of 1,600 orders have been shipped as of today!!
There are 516 orders yet to be shipped, and I plan to get at least 100 shipped each day over the coming days. So if you have not received a shipping notice yet, then your order is among the remaining batches to go out.
For those of you who have received your coins and took the time to comment on the kickstarter about how happy you are with them - thank you so much!!!

Greetings Backers!
Just one more quick update to let you all know that the shipping has begun! The first batch of backer rewards was dropped off at the post office today. It is a labor intensive process to stuff and label every package, but I truly enjoy seeing where each order of Viking Travel Coins is going. It brings me immense joy to see that these coins are truly going on journeys all over the world.
Please be patient as I am estimating that getting all of the rewards shipped out will take around 8 days.

Just a quick update that we've received all of the individual coins, leather sleeves and packaging materials needed to begin shipping later this month. So we are still on track!!! We will be packaging everything up (over 8000 coins!!!) during the next two weeks, and then we should be able to begin shipping in the second half of September, in line with our product timeline!
Thank you all so much for helping to bring this new coin project to fruition! We are so excited to be shipping the new Viking Travel coin to over 2000 backers! And we can't wait to start seeing them pop up in your Instagram photos down the road.
I will be sending out one more email as we get near the date we will start shipping to give everyone one more chance to change their shipping address in case anyone has moved since they pledged on KickStarter.

Viking Travel Coins - Progress report

I try to keep the hits to your inbox to a minimum, but I've had a couple of inquiries about the timeline, so I thought I'd post a quick update on what's happening.
As of today, we are on track with our project timeline. All product was ordered from the mint and from our leather-maker on time a couple weeks back. Based on the estimates from our suppliers, we are expecting all of the leather sleeves, and all of the coins ordered (Viking Travel Coins, Carpe Diem Coins, Carpe Noctem Coins, and Carpe Diem Mini Coins) to start rolling in towards the end of August. Once we start receiving product, we begin individually packaging each product and organizing all packaged products into separate bins. Once we have all of the products packaged and binned, we will begin the fulfillment process, which involves printing packing slips and labels for all 2000+ orders, and then filling the mailer packages with the proper mix of product for each backer's order. With over 7,000 individual products to bag, and over 2,000 separate orders to fulfill, we have a lot of work to do! But we have planned for the tasks at hand, and built it into the timeline, which still shows us beginning to ship orders later in September.
In the meantime, we are still selling regularly on our website www.CarpeDiemEDC.com. We are adding some new products very soon to the website, and plan to restock some products we've been out of for a while, like the black Deneen Pottery Tempus Fugit / Memento Mori mugs.

If you have not yet completed your BackerKit survey, PLEASE DO SO ASAP! I will be locking down the completed survey results on Tuesday July 21st, so that I can get a final count of all the coins and leather sleeves I need to order to fulfill everyone's orders. If you do not complete your survey, I will not have your shipping address to ship the items for which you pledged on KickStarter.
If you have completed your survey, and want to double check what you have added-on, or if you want to add anything else on, now is your chance to do that. Once the surveys are locked down on Tuesday, you will not be able to make any further changes.
